The First Responders Children’s Foundation provides emergency grants to support children who have endured financial stresses as a result of their first responder parents who in the line of duty have lost their lives or sustained serious injuries that prevent them from working. Industry grants to benefit local first responder departments that support programs, equipment needs for children and public safety education.
Awards are designated to answer a specific financial need due to tragic circumstances. Candidates are required to demonstrate and document financial need. The amount of the grant varies and depends on the current financial state of the family/candidate and on the total amount of funds available.
Applicants must be officially affiliated with a first responder agency or department to be eligible for grant consideration. Grant requests should be related to educational activities and programs which benefit children within the community at large. The applicant must be a first responder agency or department.
Applicants will be selected by committees. Current First Responders Children’s Foundation officers, committee members and employees, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to apply. Applicants must reside in the United States.
